Bronzes

Bronze has been used for several thousand years. Bronze work is informed by historical precedent, that may then, be developed in a contemporary manner. Bronze is a material that structurally inspires inventive forms and is also rather complementary within domestic settings.

Totem Bronze

The man initially stood facing his anatomical proportional height of eight heads. Each head represents a different character or mood. I positioned him after a Muybridge print of a man tossing a caber. The result is that he appears to be either erecting his totem to face himself, or struggling with it.

Island man bird

A facetted head shape that is like a hand formed fruit, stands like an island. Out of this island a man emerges, he is of a pleasant demeanour with a warrior’s headdress that extends his moderate features. In his hand he supports a bird that is his trophy.
